NFL Week 6: Sit / Start

start

quarterback

Eli Manning: What the hell has gotten into Eli Manning? Since Week 3, he has scored over 19 fantasy points per game and now gets to face the Eagles, who give up the 2nd most fantasy points to QBs. That secondary is flat out pathetic; therefore, The Book of Eli, is my Ultimate Start of the Week.

Fantasy Projection: 300+ yards 3 TDs

Ben Roethlisberger: Big Ben will face the Browns defense that gave up 261 passing yards and 4 TDs to Jake Locker and one of Nashville’s most beautiful people, Charlie Whitehurst. Don’t get stuck with Big Ben in a closet but please get him in your fantasy lineups.

Fantasy Projection: 300+Yards and 2 TDs

runningback

Branden Oliver: Is it me or does Oliver look like Darren Sproles long lost brother? He was the first RB to score on the Jets this year and now gets the start vs a Raider defense surrendering the 4th most fantasy points to RBs.

Fantasy Projection: 100 rushing yards/60 yards receiving and a TD

Bishop Sankey: Okay, okay. I know I screwed up last week and bought into the Sankey hype. Well, I’m back again spreading the Wisdom of Sankey and telling you this is his coming out party. Shonn Greene DNP on Thursday because of his ailing hamstring. Give the Bishop the ball!!!

Fantasy Projection: 80 yards rushing 45 yards receiving and 1 TD

Wide Receiver

Reggie Wayne/TY Hilton: Do this for me. Go look up the receiving leaders in the NFL after 5 weeks. Let’s cut to the chase, # 8 is Wayne and #9 is Hilton. Who could have guessed that!!! Houston is giving up the 14th most to WRs, so chalk up big games for both of them.

Fantasy Projections: 170 and 2 TDs combined

Golden Tate: Tate has been riding quite the hot streak with Calvin Johnson playing the decoy role. In his past two games, he has produced 15 catches for 250 yards and a TD. Here comes another huge day for Tate, facing the Vikings Defense who gives up the 9th most fantasy points to WRs.

Fantasy Projection: 150 yards and a TD

Tight End

Owen Daniels: Flacco is beginning to target him more often and he’s facing Tampa Bay who gives up the 9th most fantasy points to the TE position. Done and Done.

Fantasy Projection: 75 yards and 1 TD

Jordan Reed: If Reed is healthy, he is a must start vs. a defense that has allowed an averaged of 12 fantasy points per game to TEs. Otherwise start Niles Paul.

Fantasy Projection: 80 yards and a TD

Defense

Tennessee Titans: What defense playing the Jaguars would you not start? Exactly.

Fantasy Projection: 15 Fantasy points

San Diego Chargers: Raiders fired Dennis Allen and are going to put the ball in the hands of Darren McFadden and MJD under Sparano. The issue I have is that SD Defense is the 10th best in the NFL. Go Chargers Go!!!

Fantasy Projection: 18 Fantasy Points

sit

quarterback

Nick Foles: NYG gives up the 14th fewest fantasy points to QBs and the offense has not looked in sync in the past 2 games. Sit him.

Fantasy Projection: 240 yards 1 TD

Cam Newton: The Bengals were destroyed in New England and are looking to get back on top with a matchup vs. the Carolina Panthers. Prior to Brady and Co, the Bengals only gave up a combined 32 fantasy points in 3 weeks. Don’t start Sir Isaac Newton.

Fantasy Projections: 250 yards and no TDs

runningback

Alfred Morris: Coming off a subpar game vs. the Seahawks, Morris gets the NFL’s second best rush defense in the Arizona Cardinals. Good Luck! Sit.

Fantasy Projection: 55 yards

Zac Stacy: Stacy suffered a calf injury in Week 5 and now faces a 49ers Rush Defense that has surrendered the 2nd fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs. And were done here.

Fantasy Projections: 40 yards rushing, 15 yards receiving

Wide Receiver

DeAndre Hopkins: The equation of Ryan Fitzpatrick plus Indy’s stellar pass defense, which has given up the 3rd fewest fantasy points to Wide Receivers, equal…park him on the bench.

Fantasy Projections: 50 yards

Terrance Williams: 4 touchdowns in three games and he ends up on my sit list. What the hell am I thinking? It’s the 7th best pass defense in the NFL and it’s in Seattle. (12th Man is loud in case you didn’t know).

Fantasy Projections: 40 yards

 Tight End

Martellus Bennett: He has been a stud this year and a go to option for Cutler in the red zone. After that nice compliment, I will tell you to sit him because Atlanta’s defense gives up the fewest fantasy points to the TE position. You’re welcome.

Fantasy Projection: 35 yards

Heath Miller: Miller is a favorite of Big Ben’s but this week I think Antonio Brown gets the lion share of targets with Joe Haden out. As well, it helps that the Browns historically have kept Miller in check at the Dog Pound.

Fantasy Projections: 30 yards

 Defense

Philadelphia Eagles: Giants Offense is hot and the Eagles secondary is not. They won’t score a defensive TD this week.

Fantasy Projection: 4 points

Carolina Panthers: They have been hit with the injury/sexual assault bug leading to their defense to slip in 3 weeks of play from number 5 overall to 19th best in the NFL.

Fantasy Projection: 4 points
