Week 5 is in the books at 8-6-1. This brings the season total to 31-26-2. The Steelers won so I am still alive in survivor. I have now burned New England, Detroit, Green Bar, San Diego and Pittsburg.
As for week 6…
Colts -2.5 over @ Texans
Thursday Nighters favor more stable, consistent teams, which is why I like Andrew Luck and the Colts. Although, the aspect of this being a divisional game scares me.
@ Titans -6 over Jaguars
At some point the Jags will win a game. While this seems like a good week for them to do it, I think this is a better’s trap game.
@ Buccaneers +3 over Ravens
Have I mentioned before how much I like Mike Glennon?
Broncos -10 over @ Jets
I can’t even image how hostile this home crowd will be against whoever Rex Ryan decides to line up under center.
@ Vikings +2 over Lions
I can only let the Lions lose for me so many times before I finally pick against them.
Patriots -3 over @ Bills
While I don’t see Brady and the offense exploding again like they did last week I still don’t believe in the Bills.
@ Bengals -7 over Panthers
Cinci’s trip to New England will wake them up. Expect a strong performance out of them.
@ Browns +2 over Steelers
This game will be tight. Cleveland has lost two games by 3 points and won 2 games by 1 and 2 points, which has given them plenty of close game experience. The Steelers are inconsistent.
Packers -3 over @ Dolphins
This line seems suspiciously low but I have a tough time believing that the Dolphins defense can contain the Packers offense and I have no faith in Ryan Tannehill no matter how gorgeous his wife is.
Chargers -7 over @ Raiders
Tony Sparano takes over which is bothersome because he is the same crazy mind that decided to bring the wildcat to the NFL. But the Chargers have shown an ability to perform well against lesser opponents, which has not always been the case in this franchise’s history.
Bears +3 over @ Falcons
Both teams are trying to avoid losing their third straight. The Bears losses have been better than the Falcons which gives them the edge.
@ Seahawks -8 over Cowboys
Seattle put a beat down on Green Bay at home in a game I thought the Packers actually could have won going in. I’m not making that mistake twice.
Redskins +3.5 over @ Cardinals
It’s hard for me to pick Arizona with all the quarterback injuries.
@ Eagles -2.5 over Giants
Even after three impressive wins in a row I have a tough time buying in to the G men.
@ Rams +3 over 49ers
The home dog has taken a beating in MNF this year but this will be a week where that changes.
Survivor Pick: Broncos
I can’t think of any possible way Denver loses this game unless they forget to bring Peyton Manning on the plane with them.
