Andrew Luck: Tied with Peyton Manning for the most QB fantasy points in 2014, Luck gets the Jags in Week 3, who give up the 8th most fantasy points to QBs. This is the week Luck scores over 30 fantasy points.
Fantasy Projection: 300+ yards 3 TDs and 1 rushing TD
Tom Brady: Brady has yet to breakout in 2014 and he gets a match up with the Raiders, who have given up the 9th fewest to QBs. The catch is that the Raiders have only faced Geno Smith and Ryan Fitzpatrick. I’ll take my chances with Brady.
Fantasy Projection: 300+ Yards and 3 TDs
Running Back
Joique Bell: He is getting the majority of the touches over Reggie Bush and since Green Bay has lost BJ Raji, they have been giving up the 5th most to RBs.
Fantasy Projection: 100 rushing yards/40 yards receiving and a TD
Knile Davis/Bobby Rainey: These two are must starts this week. They have both produced fantastic games in the past and now get the pleasure of facing the 13th (Miami) and 26th (Atlanta) ranked rush defenses. These two should see 25+ carries each.
Fantasy Projection: 120 yards and 1 TDs each
Wide Receiver
Mike Wallace: 5th best fantasy matchup for WRs and Mike Wallace has scored a TD in each of his first two games. I’ll bet that streak continues.
Fantasy Projections: 100+ and a TD
Keenan Allen: Allen has started off slow due to some tough match ups. Bills have given up 10+ fantasy points to #1 WRs so put this down as Allen’s break out game of the year.
Fantasy Projection: 115 yards and a TD
Tight End
Zach Ertz: Has been building a rapport with Nick Foles and now he gets a favorable matchup against the Washington Redskins, who give up the 15th most fantasy points to TEs.
Fantasy Projection: 85 yards and a TD
Dwayne Allen: Listen here. He was quite the dud last week but when a tight end faces the Jaguars they put up 13 or more fantasy points per week. Jaguars have given up the 3rd most fantasy points to the position.
Fantasy Projection: 70 yards and a TD.
Defense
Houston Texans: Eli Manning’s throws interceptions and he gets to introduce himself to JJ Swatt. This is the #1 Defense for Week 3.
Fantasy Projection: 18 Fantasy points
New England Patriots: Raiders are a disaster offensively and Patriots put a choke hold on the Vikings offense in Week 2.
Fantasy Projection: 10-12 Fantasy Points
Andy Dalton: Dalton gets the Titans in Week 3, who are the 3rd worst fantasy match up for QNs. Not to mention, AJ Green is not 100% and this is a ground and pound offense.
Fantasy Projection: 240 yards 1 TD.
Ben Roethlisberge: Big Ben couldn’t do it against the Ravens and now he gets a more difficult challenge with the Panthers. Do not play him in week 3.
Fantasy Projections: 250 yards and no TDs
Running Back
Frank Gore: Cardinals are tough against the run only allowing 2.6 YPC. Not a fan of this match up for Gore.
Fantasy Projection: 75 yards combined
Matt Forte: Going up against #1 rated rush defense in the NFL giving up only 2.0 YPC. He’s a sit for me.
Fantasy Projections: 45 yards rushing, 20 yards receiving
Wide Receiver
Antonio Brown: Panthers put the vice grips on two of the most talented WRs in the NFL, Calvin Johnson and Vincent Jackson. Both Megatron and Vjax failed to score a touchdown.
Fantasy Projections: 60 yards
Roddy White: Missed practice this week with a hamstring injury and will more than likely be a decoy for Julio Jones. Big game for Jones this week, not so much for Roddy.
Fantasy Projections: 45 yards
Tight End
Martellus Bennett: Jets have only giving up 51 yards in 2 games to TEs.
Fantasy Projection: 25 yards
Delanie Walker: Walker was on the Starts list last week (Huge Game) and now we move him to the Sits list. Bengals give up the 15th fewest points to TEs.
Fantasy Projections: 40 yards
Defense
Pittsburg Steelers: 3 fantasy points scored after 2 weeks. Cam and Company should be able to put up big points this week.
Fantasy Projection: 1 point
Green Bay Packers: The 31st ranked defense vs. the rush. Detroit is now a ground and pound team. This is an equation for a high scoring affair. Fantasy Projection:
3 points
