NFL Week 3: Waiver Wire Pickups

Donald Brown: Ryan Mathews goes down (Out 4-5 Weeks). What’s new in the NFL? Danny Woodhead should see touches in the passing game but Donald Brown will move into the featured running back role.

Mohammed Sanu: AJ Green went down Sunday with a toe injury and is not going to return until after the Bengals bye week 5. Sanu is in line to start as the number one wide out and has a great matchup in Week 3 versus the Titans.

Kirk Cousins: And down goes RG3. What a mess the Redskins have on their hands with RG3 once again going down to injury. Luckily, Cousins is flat out better than RG3. Redskins will now move on from RG3 and Cousins will be in discussion for Top 15 Quarterback this year.

Niles Paul: Jordan Reed going down with a hamstring injury opened the door to Paul’s showcase Sunday with 8 reception’s 99 yard’s and td output. Now with Desean Jackson out with a shoulder injury and a lingering hamstring injury for Reed, expect Paul to be the #2 option behind Garcon.

Knile Davis: Jamaal Charles went down with a ankle injury Sunday and allowed Kniles Davis to produce 79 yards and 2 TD’s. Charles has a high ankle sprain, which should take him out of the starting line up for the next 2-3 weeks. This is a fluid situation so be sure to grab Knile Davis.

Bobby Rainey: Rainey looked better on Sunday than Doug Martin has looked all year. Rainey’s 174 total yards could push him for the starting gig for the Buccaneers if Doug Martin does not live up to his talent.

James Jones: 112 yards a TD on 14 targets in Week 2 and now listed as the number 1 receiver on a team who will be down in majority of their games. This should be the number one wide receiver pick up of the week.

Khiry Robinson: Ingram had another outstanding game Sunday but Monday morning news was quite sobering. Ingram will be out for 1 month with a hand injury, which primes the featured back role for Robinson. Grab him and call his number for the next 3 weeks against these soft defenses. (Vikings, Cowboys and Bucs)
